Faith - the dog behind malaga dog rehoming

Faith is the Belgian Shepherd Malinois that launched my passion, mission and drive.

Back in 2015 we had 6 rescue dogs living with us. Including a Malinois we had taken in and raised from 5 months old. 

Max was a mental challenge. He was just so intelligent. Exercising a dog is easy. Exercising the brain, much harder. And he very much ignited something in me. 

I became in awe of these magnificent dogs, but I also realised how it could go so so wrong in the wrongly matched home. 

Faith came to us via Social Media, another dumped dog someone had found and was trying to home. We ended up being last resort, and at Christmas we went, reluctantly, to collect her. 

We found a bag of bones, so shut down she wouldn't walk anywhere. We lifted her into our car and my heart met hers. The bond was incredible. 

We moved home to the countryside and Faith was in her element. She loved nothing more than being next to me, and she taught me so much about behaviour and body language.

Sadly 8 months later she passed away, suddenly, in our arms as we lifted her to get her to the car and emergency vet. It was a suspected burst ulcer, undiagnosed and unknown by us, but probably known by the callous people who had dumped her, not wanting to spend money on vets.

I was beside myself, and the loss sent my into overdrive, determined to do more. 

Because I understand the breed, I mainly specialise in helping them. I take on 1 - 2 dogs at a time, but as I have nowhere to place them at home, they got into a local residence. I go every couple of days to walk and work them, to take endless videos and pictures to promote them and match them to the right home.

And Im pretty good at it!
